Although this guy is not on my upcoming album, The SapphicSoul EP, he is an affiliate. In fact, I appeared twice on his debut album, 2009’s How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb. Mr. SOS has been on the music scene for a while, first gaining recognition with the group CunninLynguists, and then stepping away to nurture a solo hip hop career.
Though his debut album was released last year, the “criminally slept-on” LP is beginning to gain some well-deserved ground. This week, SOS unveiled his debut video for “What’s MK Ultra”, a fan-favored single off the album. Director/QN5 Blue Schooler Allan Corbett – who lives in Scotland – received live footage from the Atlanta-based emcee and mixed clips of his choice with motion-type. The video brilliantly describes the song, which takes a journey through a brain experiencing drug-induced government mind control. The song, coupled with amazing visuals, will no doubt impress you; purchase the album, and it, too, will surely have a greater impression on you.
ADDED BONUS: Listen to “Time Capsule”, one of the songs featuring me, from the album How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb! Mr. SOS’ debut LP is available now at Amazon.com and iTunes.
